Eric Roberts combines screen printing, painting, and software to create large modern paintings with color, repetition, and texture as focuses.
“I’m interested in using regular, repeatable techniques with software and screenprint and then adding the unpredictability of painting to it to produce to “+” works – works that are more than abstract paintings, works that are more than prints.
I try to temper and soften the industrial, tech heavy perspective (computer icons, drugs, scientific chemical structures) with a certain playfulness and sensuality (bees and nature, a young woman’s heartbreak, softer impressionist textures, pink).”
Self taught, Eric holds two engineering degrees and an MBA. He lives with his wife and son in just north of Atlanta in Johns Creek.
